Q. Okay, what's the catch?
A. There is none. Really. We promise. You just pay the filing fee plus $9.95
to cover postage/handling. We do the rest.
Q. How can you afford to work for free?
A. Great question. We've been incorporating businesses for years and we have
developed a system which allows us to perform this service quickly and
efficiently. It would take a non-lawyer many hours to figure out how
to register a new corporation, and even a typical lawyer would spend
considerable time putting together the necessary information and paperwork.
We, on the other hand, can do it in minutes.
Q. How do you make money?
A. While we provide our basic incorporation service for free, with no other
obligation on your part, we do hope that you will take advantage of our
really really low prices on other desirable services, some of which are
priced 95% lower than typical law firms. But, as we said, you have no
obligation to buy anything from us.
Q. Why do your indicated state filing fees seem
higher than other incorporation sites, and even the state's own site? Is
this how you make money?
A. Absolutely not. We're not here to trick anyone into paying more. Our
indicated state filing fees include things that most other sites will not
tell you about until you read the fine print. For example, most, if not all,
states charge extra for a certified copy of your filing. You absolutely need
this, so we include that charge. Also, many states offer expedited
processing at an extra charge. We automatically include this too (where available) because
you really don't want to wait 6, 8, 10 or more weeks for your corporation or
LLC to be processed by the state. We simply pass these charges along, dollar
for dollar. Absolutely nothing is marked up. Ever.
Q. Who the heck are you guys anyway?
A. We are the
Brodsky Law Firm in New York City, the lowest-priced law firm
in New York, and possibly the US. We've been providing low-cost legal help
to small businesses for years. And our incorporation services are priced way
lower than any law firm in the US, not to mention most "incorporation
service" outfits operated by anonymous kitchen-table amateurs.
Q. Do you provide legal advice?
A. No. We're sure you will understand that because this service is provided
for free, we cannot spend the time counseling you on the legal aspects of
your incorporation. This service is really for those people who already
know what they want. While we do provide some basic overview of the
differences between Corporations and LLCs, and brief summaries of some other
optional services, you should always consult an attorney before taking any
action which has legal consequences.
Q. So what am I waiting for?
A. We don't know. As you can see, there's no catch, so
get started now.
