Q. How can you afford to work for free?
A. Great question. We've been incorporating businesses for years and we have
developed a system which allows us to perform this service quickly and
efficiently. It would take a non-lawyer many hours to figure out how
to register a new corporation, and even a typical lawyer would spend
considerable time putting together the necessary information and paperwork.
We, on the other hand, can do it in minutes.
Q. How do you make money?
A. While we provide our basic incorporation service for free, with no other
obligation on your part, we do hope that you will take advantage of our
really really low prices on other desirable services, some of which are
priced 95% lower than typical law firms. But, as we said, you have no
obligation to buy anything from us.
Q. How does the process work?
A. It's simple. First you need to decide on the state & type of entity you
wish to form. Then you'll select any options you might want, and make payment
with any credit card via Paypal (you don't need a Paypal account). After
payment is processed, you'll be automatically taken to a page where you will
provide the detailed information we'll need to set up your new company. This
shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
Q. Why do your indicated state filing fees seem
higher than other incorporation sites, and even the state's own site? Is
this how you make money?
A. Absolutely not. We're not here to trick anyone into paying more than they
should. Our
indicated state filing fees include things that most other websites and
services will not
tell you about until you read the fine print. For example, most, if not all,
states charge extra for a certified copy of your filing. You should really
have
this, so we include that charge where available. Also, many states offer expedited
processing at an extra charge. We automatically include this too (where available) because
you really don't want to wait 6, 8, 10 or more weeks for your corporation or
LLC to be processed by the state. We simply pass these charges along, dollar
for dollar. Filing fees are never marked up. Ever.
Q. Who the heck are you guys anyway?
A. Our service was developed by a New York law firm which has been
providing low-cost legal help to small businesses across the US since 2004.
But, as we say throughout the website, we are not acting as your lawyer
through this website. This site is strictly intended as a self-service
document preparation service. You can read more about this in our
Terms of Service.
Q. Do you provide legal advice?
A. No. Not at all. Never. Always consult an attorney in your home state before taking any
action which has legal consequences.
Q. I can't decide whether to form an LLC or a
corporation, and I really don't know which state to form in. Help!
A.
Sorry, we can't, not directly. Each person's circumstances differ.
You can only get this type of advice from a lawyer in your home state.
Remember, we are not acting as lawyers via this website, so we can't advise
you other than to provide some general facts regarding LLCs and
corporations, which you can read about here.
Q. Can I call you?
A. To keep prices as low as they are (i.e. FREE), all communication is
handled via email or via our
Facebook
and Twitter pages. We think that's a fair trade. We simply can't spend our
time answering calls. It's much more efficient for us to answer emails.
Besides, we always strive to provide fast responses via email.
Q. Okay, what's the catch? There must be one.
A. There is none. Really. We promise. You just pay the state filing fee plus $15
to cover postage/handling. We do the rest.
Q. So what am I waiting for?
A. We don't know. As you can see, there's no catch, so
get started now.
